AP English Language & Composition
AP English Language & Composition is an intensive writing course taught by Mrs. Wright that engages students in analyzing rhetoric and crafting complex arguments. It covers nonfiction texts from many disciplines and time periods.
Students closely read essays, speeches, and visual media to understand rhetorical devices and strengthen their own writing and analytical skills. Mrs. Wright assigns thought-provoking prompts for rhetorical analysis essays, argumentative essays, and synthesis essays. Her detailed feedback helps students continuously improve their writing.
The fast-paced course prepares students for the AP exam by covering all needed rhetorical terms and writing formats. Mrs. Wright also shares tons of tips and practice opportunities specifically geared towards the exam.
